In het huis van…
Deventer, Netherlands, the
On a beautiful square in the middle of Deventer, in a monumental old mansion you will find Hotel In het huis van Deventer. The city is brought in together with interior architect Ellen Schild from Studio Groen + Schild and the artistic duo Albert Dedden and Paul Keizer, known under the name Spacecowboys. In the hotel you can choose your own unique room.
You can see elements of Deventer everywhere. Like a room with a giant version of the Auronde, the success bed of Deventer’s company Auping. Or a Cabin in the woods, where your complete bathroom is executed in the green as if the city garden had entered your room.
The building has a story. From 1485, the Latin School was located here. A part of the Lebuinus Church, the largest church in Deventer. The school lost its function and was used in various ways; as a residence, hotel, shop, wood workshop and the last 25 years as a meeting center. Now the building gets a new destination as Hotel In the house of Deventer.
The hotel has seven city lofts: spacious hotel rooms to stay with 2 to 6 people. You can also rent a whole floor with up to 10 people, where you can spend the night with your family or friends. Then you have your own entrance and own kitchen.
