About Sevenum

Sevenum is a place in the municipality of Horst aan de Maas, in the Dutch province of Limburg. The Sevenum core has almost 6,500 inhabitants. This makes it the second largest place in the municipality after Horst.

Sevenum is traditionally an agricultural village. The exit ‘um’ in the name Sevenum is of Franconian origin and, according to experts, has the same meaning as ‘heim’, or ‘residence or residence’. This may indicate that people lived in Sevenum already in the fifth century after Christ! Rest, space and recreation are the main attractions. There are plenty of cycling and walking routes and very nice hotspots!
